Seriously, I'd never like being the first in anything I do. I prefer to be Second, Third or even the tenth. I don't mind.

I can't help but feel seriously weird or to a small extent, guilty, for getting the first in my class. I was still happy yesterday (see my blog post yesterday) but not today. I feel lousy.

How do you explain me slacking during the prelims and was still able to get these results? Why did I get the first when others put in so much more effort for one paper than all my papers combined together? I'm beginning to suspect my own ability. Was it luck or do I have better brains?

Sh*t.

Never felt like this in ages. All along I thought I was simply smarter then my classmates but now, this belief has began to wobble. Maybe I was the one with simply more luck. Maybe I'm just the blessed one. Or maybe I'm the one whom God was watching over more than the rest.

P.S: No ending quote for today. Cos' I'm feeling utterly lousy.

Actually, the noodles from the 'Goodles' stall in S11 was nice, and the $2.50 promotion made it much tastier. As compared to Pizza Hut (which I had for lunch yesterday), the noodles are much more economical. I wasn't even full after the baked pasta serving and somemore, it cost $6.80 leh... However, my friends said that they were very full. So is it me or is it the pasta serving?

Okay, let's rewind to today's morning before I had my wanton noodles. There are two miracles which happened on this day of 24/9.

The 1st miracle : Huiwen and Xuyuan turned up for this Meet-the-Parents session.

The 2nd miracle : I got a whopping first position in my class!

Yeah, miracles do happen indeed, especially over the most trivial things like the above. Although I got a 1st, in the whole level I got only a 23. But I shan't grumble much about it because I took my Prelims with 'ease', meaning that I slacked through all my papers lah... And I reaped what I sowed..so yeah...

As for the 1st miracle, the two most unexpected people who turned up are mentioned above. I've got to give them props for just showing up when they were saying that they ain't going to turn up just yesterday. Mind you, I don't think they came for any of the MTP sessions held this year. I could feel my jaws dropped open when I saw Huiwen strolling into the Hall.

I'm going to work for my O'levels and I'll be hardworking. Go Me Go!

I've never been so determined in my whole fat life yet.

But now, I'm going for a nap first. Hee~ ^^,

If your obstacles bring you down, then let your determination bring you up.

My friends in other school are taking their Prelims right now, and I already got back all my results. Currently, the teachers are putting all the 'C' students down for night study. Mind you, they really mean 'night' study. It's all the way till 9pm.

My results weren't to satisfying. For two subjects, I brushed pass an A1 and just got an A2. Aiyoh... tsk tsk... The rest of the results were kind of expected but surprisingly, I got a B4 for my English when I thought I would get a 5. So yep, this is a bonus. 4As, 2Bs and 2Cs. That's what I've gotten for my Prelims. First 3 months in JC? Probably yes, probably no.

Okay. I'll stop talking about my academics now. Let's turn the attention to the comic I bought yesterday...

I bought DDS book 21 yesterday! And I finished it in an hour. It's quite sad that the next publication would mark the end of DDS. I'm really really sad. I hope the ending will be a good one but my instinct tell me that it won't.

I suspect that Ryu will tread on the path of evil and follow the footsteps of his grandfather, who is an intelligent criminal who plans plot to kill people, without really doing it himself. As expected, Q didn't trust Ryu till the end. Ryu was suspected of consecutive murder that took place and at first Q did trust him but then, he started to suspect Ryu too.

So...I hope the next book will be out by next month, if not, latest by November. I can't wait. ^_^

Going off for Biology night study at 6. The thought of it just dampen my mood.

For the past 3 days, I'm rotting at home. It was terribly boring cos...

THE TELEVISION BROKE DOWN!!

Can you believe it? Of all days, it chose to break down after my exams. Because of this, I can only watch my cartoons (mainly Digimon Frontier) on a 21-inch television. Besides, it cost $200 to repair this machine.

Haiz...

Luckily...

I had got comics to while my time away. Detective Conan, Kindachi files and of course, Dan Detective School [DDS]! Yes, all detective comics. Comics that revolve around love just make me cringe. I think it's a waste of money to spent on those comics. Mind you, each comic cost $5.

An overview of my DDS comics. ^_^

4 of my favourite covers. Because they'd got a rather big pic of my favorite character. =)

TATA! I like this cover the most!

Conclusion: DDS is one of the best comics I've ever read. *thumbs up*

This Tuesday, it is time to spend $5 again and I can't wait to get my hands on book 21. Heehee...

I was clearing my folders in the computer when I came across these PC banners done during the singapore idol period. In case you wonder why isn't there any banners for the FINAL 5, I can tell you that that banner was particularly horrible to even look at. So here it goes:

The EPISODES banners:

This one isn't bad eh? I like this banner quite a lot.

Erm... Sly's face happened to be burning in this banner. HAHA...

Oh... This is another lack-lustre banner. Not enough space to accomodate Sly I guess.

I think this was done pretty quickly. Cos' I don't remember doing this.

The pictures are extracted from LIME Mag. And yeah, this is one of my pride and Joy.

I like this one a lot too! Cos they look like buddies of a lifetime!

This area contains only SLY and SLY only. Looking back, I couldn't understand why I'm crazy (def. not mad) over him. If you happen to be a sly fan *hint hint*, I think you'll like this portion lol...

A sloppy work from me. *grin sheepishly*

One of the best pieces I'd done for DeLegion, the SLY fanclub. My first attempt at textures too.

*gulp* or *glup*

My sis says that she like this one. But I think it was rather simple.

A resized wallpaper. So again, nothing out of the ordinary.

*shakes head* Bad colour co-ordination.

A particularly ordinary one.

STOP! The SI banners end here. Below is some other unrelated stuff.

A picture from a display window in Paragon. See, I remember where it was taken! Please note that it was taken last year.

Year 2004 : Christmas Decoration at Orchard!

Another one!

That's what friends are for...=)

Ahem. I want to shout this out loud.

PRELIMS ARE FINALLY OVER!!!

Yes, my prelims are over. I can get a break for the next three days. I think we are getting back some of our papers next week, unless those teachers are marking our papers (those we took before the holidays) at a turtle's speed.

I tell you what, the suckiest paper I've taken will be DnT. Halfway through, the idea of giving up had already popped out somewhere in my mind. You won't believe how much I hate the paper. Oh man, a pass will be satisfactory. A 'B' will be a bonus and an 'A' will be a MIRACLE.

On the contrary, the best paper I've take will be E Maths Paper 2. Yeah, I like this paper for some mad reasons. I like the number patterns, the cone question, the circle question and...Aiyah...I like everything lah. Well except for the vector question.

Science should be okay on the whole. As for Amaths, let's see if I get unbelievably careless and manage only a B or a C (if it does, I will die of heartache...lol).

I'm not pinning that my prelims results will get me into a JC though.

PS: A NEW layout, finally!

3 papers down for this week. Another 4 more to go.

For this prelims, I didn't set any expectations for myself. I'd stopped comparing my results with others, eliminating my own's desire to win them. I told myself that this time round, I will just take things as they go and the ultimate person that I have to conquer is myself. Results don't matter so long as I know I had did my best. And I'd already done that.

A little recap on my papers this week.

Chemistry
It was an okay paper, but I left 6 marks blank. You know, there are times you thought you could go back on these questions after finishing the rest, only to realise that you don't have anymore time. So, this was what happened to me. The essay questions were simple. And I hope that I got the chemical equations on the blast furnace correct.

Physics
Mrs Fong sounded as if this paper she set will be of absolute difficulty. In the end, I was pretty disappointed with its level of difficulty.

A Maths
An A2 will be enough. Seriously.

DnT now. Will blog when prelims end or when I got back my results. See ya.

There are no such things as problems, just the opportunity for solutions.

Sometimes my cross is hard to bear
for there is darkness everywhere,
and troubles pile around my door
like autumn leaves forevermore.

The morning light seems far away,
like I am stuck in yesterday,
My heart is beating like a drum,
I try to pray, but words won't come.

But then the sun begins to rise
and hope is born within my eyes.
A rainbow forms among my tears,
my faith is stronger than my fears!

I deserve a 2-day break. After slogging for my Humanities and Biology, I should rest before I start on my sciences and maths (which I think will be okay).

English Paper was BLARDY DIFFICULT. The passage was simple but the questions just...erh...sux. I need Lady Luck for my Biology. And for Humanities, it will be a bonus if I can get just a healthy 'C'. E Maths wasn't too bad lah.Yeah, I don't ask for much.

Apart from my prelims, this week was also the Project Superstar Grand Finals! I don't care when people deemed Weilian as undeserving, I don't give it a damn when my classmates flame him, I don't care when forummers slam him. Cos' he won! MUAHAHAHA!

I DON'T CARE BECAUSE IT'S JUST A SORE LOSER'S ATTITUDE.

Seriously, I don't know what they are grumbling about. It's not as if Kelly lost. She had claim herself a recording contract with UNIVERSAL MUSIC. Isn't that great news? Lots of commoners think that Universal is the better recording company, but I prefer WL to go PLAY. In some sense or another, PLAY looks more humane than UNIVERSAL. UNIVERSAL is too commercialised.

WL's victory encouraged lots of people out there. People who was tripped down by obstacles and found no motivation to stand up again. People who are handicapped and disappointed by life. People who are perfectly normal yet found no determination and courage to pursue their dreams. I think the society need someone like him to inspire, to encoourage.

I don't know how far he can go, maybe not as far as Kelly, but at least in his lifetime, his dream was once realised. Anyway, I sincerely wish the both of them good luck in all aspects of their life. GOOD LUCK!

When someone tells you his dream, don't laugh. Because a person without dreams has got nothing much.

Thought of the Month

That day Grandma asked me about one of my long-time best friend and she was shocked that I haven't contacted her for eons. "Every relationship has an expiry date. It's just a matter of time," I thought but didn't voice it aloud.
